Pusat Aktiviti Kanak-Kanak Chow Kit is a shelter and recreational center for homeless and displaced children. The shelter aims to keep these children off the streets by running educational and creative workshops alongside providing a necessary safe haven for them. Currently there are 16 Chow Kit Children sleeping on the streets every night. Please help us help them.

This year’s campaign will take a different approach than the year before. Instead of driving home the anti-drug message, we will initiate and introduce more ways of living the healthy lifestyle into this year’s campaign. This campaign is not not only to raise awareness and to educate the clubbers about the dangers and hazards of illegal usage of drugs but also the general public that dance music does not necessarily lead to drug consumption, nor do you need to consume drugs to enjoy music.

‘KEEP THE MUSIC CLEAN’ campaign is Zouk KL’s way of giving back to society as they believe they know how to educate their clubbers and patrons. By doing so, Zouk KL is also hopeful of trying to change the misconceptions and biases towards dance music and dance clubs.

Since hooking up with Dave Seaman and a sinister enclave of DJs and producers based in Maidenhead and Slough, Anthony Pappa plotted his takeover of the world. He struck a friendship up with engineer/producer Alan Bremner and together they formed Freefall: by day mild mannered janitors at the Daily Globe, by evening world beating dance music makers. Freefall was signed to Stress Records, where they released two singles. Their debut, 'Shrug', was followed by 'Skydive', a tougher-than-leather main room anthem that said, 'we're here, and we're not going until you've noticed us'. They were duly noticed. They have also, it should be noted, done a few remixes in their time, too, including Beloved's 'Sun Rising', though 'prolific' is not a word you'd associate with Freefall.
His Resolution mix album is Anthony's 7 th in his career so far, including ones for compatriots Mushroom and Stress. Pappa was also responsible for last year's acclaimed debut for Global Underground offshoot, Nu-Breed, which saw his face (not to mention blue jacket and brown eyebrows) splattered all over every available poster site in Britain.

With a vast music knowledge built on years of listening and playing, Zouk Singapore´s pioneer resident DJ has seen him mutate with the club through the different music phases that the club has experienced. Although his first love is the soulful side of House music, the early years were spent breaking new boundaries of dance music to the locals.

But it is with this experience over such an extensive repertoire that has given him a grounded foundation to pursue new goals in Velvet Underground, Singapore. Having taken up the Velvet residency since ´97 @ Zouk Singapore, he has developed his signature style into an eclectic mix of House music fused with afro, Latin, jazz, funk and soul. "I believe these are the basics that everyone will understand. It has and will always be around."

And having witnessed the Body & Soul vibe on a summer trip to New York, he is more inspired than ever to spread the gospel of House - those spiritual and soulful elements, the very roots of house music that we hear today.
