When The Judge Comes To Town

Who : Judge Jules
Where : Zouk, KL
When : 19th May 2006
By: Lind Shah

All rise, Judge Jules is in the house!

Let’s keep this short and sweet people. We all know who Judge Jules is. The man has been around for some time now, ruling both the radio airwaves and club scene with his infectious mix of pumping music and charming electrical personality.

Tonight the man was in his elements. During the signing session at the balcony of Zouk before his gig, you can see that he is all hyped-up for tonight. When asked what can clubbers expect from a DJ who has been in Malaysia so many times? He simply said - “Just go to the dance floor and see” with a wide grin on his cheeky face.

At about half past midnight, the man took over the decks and rightfully enough with this not being his first time in KL, he knows how to work the clubbers of KL with his mix of the familiar anthems and then heightening it up with several surprises along the way.

The man, everyone will agree, is one hyper-bunny (much like moi!)! With his hair-deprived head and thick-rimmed glasses bopping to the music, you cannot help but get into the whole psycho-groove of the master spinner. Even from the very beginning when he took over the decks from Zouk’s in-house DJ, he had set the night’s mood with his wide grin and vibrating energy. The crowd went wild as he started off his set with a high note and the mood stayed on till the end of the night.

At 3am, as the crowd moved out of the mega club and back to their holes (ok, house!) it is evident that tonight, The Judge gave a very convincing argument on why he is one of the world’s best DJs. And as anyone will testify and the final verdict will show – Judge Jules rules and we cannot wait for his next court to be in session!
