Featured in Mixmag's top 100 Dj's in the world and one of the Face magazine's most influential club culture figures of the decade, amongst numerous other accolades attributed to him, Jay's contribution to the music scene is second to none. Featuring regularly on television, radio and magazine programmes about black music or dance culture, Norman Jay, a recognised authority on club culture, is considered by many to be "The People's DJ" because of the width and breadth of his Djing style. "A clubland institution" the Face once called him.
Apart from a very hectic DJ schedule playing house and funky gigs worldwide, he was again voted club DJ of the year 96/97 by Blues and Soul magazine and is the only DJ featured in the Face magazine's book on club culture extracts from 1980-1997 called "Nightfever".
He has also just released yet another eagerly awaited double CD mix album this time for the outrageously glamorous Miss Moneypenny's in Birmingham. This complements his already hugely successful and cult Philadelphia compilations and Journeys by DJ CDs.
At present he is producing new material for his own imprint, Good Times, and has also resumed a highly successful broadcasting career on London's GLR radio 94.9 with a hugely popular black/dance music show called Giant 45 (Sundays 7pm - 10 pm).

VOODOO presents Markus Schulz @ Zouk Mainroom
Markus Schulz has carved quite a name for himself. His internationally broadcasted radio show "Global DJ Broadcast" is unequivocally the most important outlet for the global music scene, and his hundreds of thousands of weekly listeners attest to that fact. Markus continues to win over fans. Markus is renowned for his unique style of dark and brooding yet melodic DJ sets. A self-proclaimed studio geek, Markus is infamous for surprising his fans with his reconstructions of well-known songs. "Sometimes I like a song, but it just does not fit the flow of my DJ sets, so I have no problem spending a day or two in the studio reworking by editing, adding extra percussion and extra keyboard parts to a song to make it fit my style" says Markus.
When not in the studio reconstructing tracks for his DJ sets, Markus is busy working directly with record labels and artists who want to have that very particular sound that he is known for. Markus has had the opportunity to work with artists including Depeche Mode, Madonna, Everything But The Girl, Jewel, Oceanlab, Gabriel & Dresden presents Motorcycle, Karada, Telepopmusik, Fat Boy Slim, Miro, Book Of Love, Blue Amazon, and PQM. His remixes of "Intuition" and "Stand" by Jewel both hit #1 on the Billboard club chart.
With a ton of productions under his belt, and a wealth of released albums to his name, Markus Schulz can now add to his collection Coldharbour Sessions 2004 on his very own Coldharbour Recordings imprint through Armada, "Miami 05" (Armada and Moist Music), and his long awaited, two years in the making, debut artist album "Without You Near (Armada and Ultra Records).
Markus still manages to find time to DJ around the world, which he admits is his true love. Since his infamous seven year residency at The Works in Phoenix Arizona, where he developed his sound, he has toured the globe extensively, playing at clubs and festivals in Bucharest, Tel Aviv (his favorite place of all time) Istanbul, Bali, Kuala Lumpur, Ibiza, Poznan, Toronto, Montreal, San Francisco and festivals such as Nature One, Dance Valley, Together As One, Love Parade and Global Gathering. With international tour dates filling his calendar, Markus is quickly becoming one of the most sought after djs on the planet.
