Sugar presents Goola Goola with James Brown contest

Do you want to feel good? Then come over to the Sugar shack this Thursday 15th September 2005 for the launch of the new club night "Goola Goola". On top of the festivities, the minted dance club is giving away tickets to see the Godfather Of Soul live in concert.

James Brown's one-night-only appearance in Asia is at the KL Hilton on Monday 19th September 2005. The concert is in celebration of the hotel's first year of operations, and Sugar has 4 seats worth RM250 each to give away throughout the "Goola Goola" party on Thursday.

"Goola Goola" is not your regular mumbo jumbo session. DJ Nicholas Lee promises an escapist's set of retrospective dance music, reaching back from the 90's all the way to the 70's. Nicholas was one of the capital's original house music heroes at the prestigious Barbarran. For "Goola Goola", his sessions comprise a wild, eclectic mix of boogie, funk, disco and anything with a love-shack vibe.

"Goola Goola" is also the new mid-week ladies night at Sugar. In celebration of that, there's free Cosmopolitan martinis at the bar from 10pm to midnight for every girl, woman and lady in the club this Thursday. What's more, look out for surprise appearances by our very own funky diva bartenders and sexy "Chippendale" dancers.
