HED KANDI featuring StoneBridge @ Velvet Underground
The success of StoneBridge’s anthem “Put 'Em High”, garnered him a No 6 in the UK Top 40, No 1 in the dance charts and no end of rave reviews has only heightened expectations of what else StoneBridge might have stored in his tank. His first UK club hits were his own Jazzy John's Freestyle Dub and Ann Consuelo's See The Day in the early 90's, but it was with his remix of Robin S “Show Me Love”, which subsequently became StoneBridge's first UK top 10 and a worldwide hit 1993, that he moved on to become a major force. Upfront: Architecture in Helsinki @ Zouk Mainroom
The Australian indie pop octet Architecture in Helsinki hails from Fitzroy, Melbourne, and counts multi-instrumentalists Cameron Bird, James Cecil, Gus Franklin, Isobel Knowles, Jamie Mildren, Sam Perry, Tara Shackell, and Kellie Sutherland among its ranks. The band's musical arsenal is even bigger than its roster, featuring instruments as diverse as analog synths and samplers, glockenspiel, tuba, clarinet, and recorder along with the more predictable drums, bass, and guitar. Architecture in Helsinki began playing in 2000, crafting a mix of indie, electronic, and pop that they recorded and occasionally performed live. The collective began recording its debut album, Fingers Crossed, in 2002 in a variety of places ranging from beach houses to proper studios; Bar None released the album in spring 2004 (source – www.allmusic.com). Follow-up album In Case We Die was released in 2005 to universal critical acclaim.

This 5-day non-stop fashion extravaganza starts off with a “Welcome Party” themed “The Verve” featuring 6 dynamic designers in a power-packed showcase in Zouk KL on 23rd November, 7.30pm. This explosive showcase will feature collections by MELL, Starlet, Adnan Hassan, Hockkie, Dino and Kenneth Vernon. The welcome party showcase is a mere taste of what KLAFW 2005 has to offer. This will be an excellent opportunity for the local and international delegates to get connected with all the participants of KLAFW 2005. KLAFW is expected to be a global crowd-puller to Kuala Lumpur, drawing from the diversity of people from all corners of the world for a vibrant and rich display of Asian fashion.
